Oct. 1975	Cinema Vehicles Services was founded in October 1975 by Ray Claridge. Its original DBA was Sepulveda Auto Clinic located in Van Nuys California in a 2500 sq. ft shop. It started with Ray and two mechanics.
Jan. 1977	We added 800 sq. ft adjacent to the shop and hired a body man and a painter
June. 1977	Ray did his first work for the Entertainment Industry thru a referral from Quinn Martin Productions, the Producers of the t.v. series Barnaby Jones, F.B.I. and Cannon.
Late 1979	At the request of customers, Ray bought a few police cars for rentals. A daily rental at that time was $75.00.
Early 80’S	With more business in the industry, we made the decision to concentrate on the Entertainment side and expand our rental fleet to about 50.
Mid 1985	We moved to a two acre location in Van Nuys. We decided to change our name to Cinema Vehicle Services to reflect our focus and dedication to the Entertainment Industry. We also expanded our rental fleet to approximately 500 units.
Mid1997	We moved to our current 7 ½ acre location in North Hollywood. Here we have built our own state of the art facility with the ability to do all necessary Studio prep work in house. Our rental fleet has grown to approximately 900-1000 units.
